Two Artists, Two Styles

Baby Lemonades Uchigatana Bijutsu (Katana Art) and Whimsical Expressions by Jax Kwok

Baby Lemonade, (Samantha Deebel), was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Her first picture storybook, made at age five, was about her grandma being a witch. Today she resides in Cape Canaveral, FL.

She defines her art as Cosmic Abstract Expressionism and her artist statement: Love and More Love.

I have always had a fascination with Japanese Culture, especially Samurais, Sumo Wrestling and Kabuki. I love watching Akira Kurosawas films and believe I was a Samurai Warrior in one of my past lives.

A friend gifted me a Katana Sword and I was inspired to pick it up one day and paint with it! I really had fun creating new interpretations of texture on canvas. My work is the result of this Cosmic Encounter with a Katana.

Jax Kwok, an acrylic artist, was born in Malaysian and studied in Taiwan. He has been featured in magazine publications and won art awards locally and internationally. At the present time he lives between Morristown, NJ and Cocoa Beach, FL.

He is always enamored with the natural beauty of his homeland geography and the distinct botanicals that thrive there. His passion and unique artistic interpretation of both the geography of the land and the many floras of the gardens, enable him to change the "ordinary" to the "extraordinary" in his expressive paintings.

I only paint subject matter which makes me joyful, because I want the final product to make my audiences joyful as well! My artistic creations exemplify the natural beauty of nature, but with touches of whimsy and the magic of fantasy.

Have you ever wanted to experience a hot air balloon ride but didn't know where to start? You're in luck! Pilot Kim McCourt will be leading our hot air balloon night and you're invited to join from setup through clean up.

Kim will show the process of what goes into hot air ballooning, and once set up will lead tethered flights for a portion of the evening ($25 per person riding). Set a reminder in your calendar, because this is an event you won't want to miss!

Buy your tickets here to reserve your spot on one of the tethered flights of the evening. 2 to 3 passengers can ride at once and the flight is weight dependent. All tickets are $25, regardless of age.

This class is for you if you want to shake up your fitness routine and feel like a kid again. Rise up out of your rut and have some fun with us!

Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, you are WELCOME in this class. You will learn beginner movements that can be put together into a sequence, as we laugh, play, and burn calories.

We will warm up and shake off any stress or tension, then spend some time learning hula hoop skills, while getting feedback and troubleshooting. Next, we will learn a sequence of tricks that will get you moving and sweating, followed by some play time to practice everything weve learned or just find your own flow. We will always finish class by coming together for final stretches, breathing, and intentional self-acknowledgment. Every segment of class is designed to help you feel successful and good in your body, while honoring your unique style and comfort level.

Green Gables, a living history museum and community education center built in 1896, is situated on 1.15 acres of green space on the bluff along the Indian River Lagoon. The volunteers of Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, Inc. reached a milestone with the acquisition of the home and property in 2023. The next stage will be the rehabilitation and renovation of this landmark, transforming this Forgotten Enchantress to her former grandeur. This 127-year-old historic home represents Melbournes Bridge to the Past. Visit Green Gables to learn about the history of the Wells Family, generous benefactors who played a key role in the development of early Melbourne. Their vision and generosity gifted the area with Wells Park, the first Auditorium, the first library, establishing the first high school, and many more projects in the community, all of which have been enjoyed by several generations. The Guild will explore the history and making of Japanese Temari Balls. The core which is wrapped with yarn, then finer thread, and finally decorated with needle and thread techniques to form a design.

Magic Show Cocoa Village

Every Saturday at 4pm for $4, enjoy a magic show at Magic Dove Magic Shop in Historic Cocoa Village. Each week features a different performance. You can call ahead to reserve front row seats or buy tickets at the door. Many performances feature local young magicians, but all performers are excited to share their passion of magic with you. Have you ever wanted to experience a hot air balloon ride but didn't know where to start? You're in luck! Pilot Kim McCourt will be leading our hot air balloon night and you're invited to join from setup through clean up.

Kim will show the process of what goes into hot air ballooning, and once set up will lead tethered flights for a portion of the evening ($25 per person riding). Set a reminder in your calendar, because this is an event you won't want to miss!

Buy your tickets here to reserve your spot on one of the tethered flights of the evening. 2 to 3 passengers can ride at once and the flight is weight dependent. All tickets are $25, regardless of age.

Flights will last a few minutes and are an ideal opportunity to see Merritt Island from above and get a feel for what hot air ballooning is all about!
